Windwalker Vineyards

Winery Overview
Windwalker Vineyard and Winery is a Fair Play estate owned by James and Alanna Taff, who moved from home winemaking into commercial production when they purchased the vineyard in 2006. The winery’s range is unusually broad, spanning Estate Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay alongside Cabernet Franc, Old Vine Zinfandel, Primitivo, Petite Sirah, Barbera, Syrah, Mourvèdre/Mataro, Tempranillo, and other reds.
The tasting room is open daily, with a spacious indoor setting, shaded deck, picnic options, and a gift shop adding to the visit. Guests can expect an accessible, club-oriented stop where regular events and a wide tasting lineup make the experience feel active rather than narrowly focused.
Before You Go
Windwalker is a good fit for visitors who want range rather than a tightly defined single-varietal program. The list moves from estate whites into a large selection of reds, so it helps to ask what is currently being poured before choosing a direction.
You can bring lunch, use the deck or picnic areas, and include dogs as long as they stay on leash. Larger groups and limousines need an appointment, but regular tasting hours are daily from 11 to 5.
