Chaney Family Winery

Winery Overview
Founded in 2023 by Jaimye and Scott Chaney, Chaney Family Winery is a small family-run producer in the Fair Play AVA. Its five-acre vineyard sits at approximately 2,300 feet and is planted to Barbera, Viognier and Sangiovese, varieties that also appear among the winery’s small-batch releases.
Visitors taste at the Fairplay Road property with the vineyard forming the immediate setting. The standard experience lasts about an hour, offering a focused introduction to the current red, white and sweeter bottlings before guests decide where they would like to explore further.
Before You Go
Chaney’s lineup includes Barbera, Sangiovese and Viognier, along with rosé and sweeter selections. Check the current menu rather than expecting a fixed set of wines, since availability may change as small lots are released.
Allow about an hour for the tasting and contact the winery directly when visiting with more than eight people. Try the wines in the order presented, but leave room to compare the Italian varieties with the lighter or sweeter options.
