Cantiga Wineworks

Winery Overview
Cantiga Wineworks is a family-run Fair Play winery in Somerset, led by winemaker Rich Rorden and set on a knoll top overlooking estate vineyards. Its wines follow a classic, food-oriented style shaped by minimal intervention, very low sulfites, and a distinctive non-malolactic approach, with bottlings ranging from Estate Semillon and Grenache to Petite Sirah, Barbera, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and GSM.
The tasting experience is built around context rather than speed, with options that include casual bar tastings, seated patio appointments, food-and-wine pairings, and a Tapas & Board Game Café. Guests can expect a relaxed, thoughtful stop where the wines are presented as companions to food, conversation, and time in the cellar.
Before You Go
Cantiga may feel different from many tasting rooms because the wines are intentionally made without malolactic fermentation and with very low sulfites. Expect a focus on structure, freshness, food compatibility, and ageability rather than soft, heavily polished styles.
Approach the tasting with food in mind, especially if a pairing flight or patio option is available. This is a good place to slow down, compare how the wines change with context, and leave room for styles you may not usually seek out.
