Chinese In Napa Valley – The Forgotten Community That Built Wine Country is a historically grounded documentary based on the book Chinese in Napa Valley: The Forgotten Community That Built Wine Country by John McCormick, and produced for the Napa County Historical Society. The film was produced and directed by EH LearnMedia, LLC, the parent company of Anytime Tasting. Drawing from McCormick’s extensive historical research, archival materials, and expert voices, the documentary uncovers the largely overlooked Chinese community whose labor, resilience, and craftsmanship were instrumental in shaping Napa Valley’s early wine industry. By restoring these stories to their rightful place in wine history, the film offers wine industry professionals, historians, and engaged audiences a deeper, more complete understanding of the diverse foundations behind one of the world’s most influential wine regions.
